Lela Remington

Lela Remington, DVM, MPH, DACVIM earned both her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She then completed an emergency and critical care-focused rotating internship at Arizona Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Center, followed by a three-year small animal internal medicine residency at Washington State University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

Dr. Remington enjoys the collaborative, problem-solving nature of internal medicine and is passionate about working alongside pet caretakers, primary care veterinarians, and fellow specialists to improve outcomes for patients with complex diseases. Her clinical interests include endocrinology (particularly diabetes and pituitary disorders) and feline medicine. Her research has focused on hypersomatotropism in North American cats.

She is excited to bring thoughtful, evidence-based, and compassionate care to her patients while becoming part of the team at AMCS.
