Dr. Nick Szigetvari is a University of Illinois graduate who began his veterinary profession as a general practice veterinarian in Chicago, Illinois. After several years of this invaluable experience setting the tone for his approach to veterinary medicine, he decided to pursue a career focused entirely on medical oncology.

He finds particular satisfaction in connecting with pets and owners during the challenging time of cancer diagnosis. It is his goal to help make clearer the complexity of the condition and form an individualized treatment plan for pets that meet owner’s needs while also preserving quality of life for pets.

While away from work Dr. Szigetvari enjoys live music, playing guitar, wood working, landscaping, trying new restaurants, camping through our national parks and forests with his dogs (Mabel, Lucille) and his partner. He also enjoys making sense of the irrational behaviors of their cat, Squish.
