Our dental department uses CBCT for most patients. The CT images, combined with intraoral radiographs, allow us to assess patients for conditions like periodontal disease, oral tumors, jaw fractures, and disease of the pulp. Our software creates a 3-D model of each patient that makes visualizing pathology easier. Our CBCT helps us plan extractions, root canal procedures, and oral surgeries. Our software also allows us to share images with referring veterinarians. Owners receive a copy of the CT scan and software to view the images so they can explore their pets’ images.
