April Panpipat

April has been in the veterinary field for over 25 years, with the majority of her experience in anesthetic and surgical nursing. She completed an externship in critical care anesthesia under a veterinary technician specialist from the UC Davis Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She then moved to Seattle to pursue her dream of working in specialty medicine and found her home at Animal Medical Center of Seattle in critical care medicine. Over time, she was promoted to Shift Lead and Nursing Manager and now serves as AMCS’s Hospital Director.

April has lectured at Pima Medical Institute and to the veterinary community on various topics related to veterinary staff training, team dynamics, and customer service. She was nominated for the VECCS Practice Manager of the Year. Her clinical interests include cardiovascular emergencies, airway management, and total intravenous anesthesia.

Outside of work, April is a dressage rider and enjoys spending time with her partner, Ann, and their menagerie of pets. She also participates in Seattle’s independent film community and pursues photography in her spare time.
